Earlier today we were the first blog on BoardingArea/Prior2Boarding to report on U.S. airlines suspending flights to Israel over a rocket that hit less than one mile away from TLV airport in Israel.
The FAA has prohibited all U.S. airlines from flying to Israel for at least 24 hours. It is clear now that most major airlines are taking precautionary steps to avoid a repeat of MH17. Since our previous post, various global airlines have suspended flights to TLV airport as well, a list can be found below.
List of airlines temporarily suspending flights to Israel (TLV):
- American Airlines/US Airways
- Delta Airlines
- United Airlines
- Air Canada
- Lufthansa Group
- Air France
- Air Berlin
- KLM Royal Dutch Airlines
- Norwegian Air
British Airways has said that their flights to TLV will continue without interuption.
If you know of an airline that is not already on the above list please leave a comment and we will confirm it and add it immediately.
