WEEKLY REVIEW: Sisters Kicked Off Flights to See Dying Dad, Australian Slogan Ruled Obscene, and More

Each week we like to post a number of stories that grabbed our and our readers’ attention.  Here’s the week in review:

We have to start with the terrible tragedy in Fort Lauderdale, where a gunman began firing at the baggage claim area of the airport.  The story is still developing, but as the stories of victims come out, it is so sad to read.

Gary Leff over at View From the Wing wrote about how an Australian tourism logo was ruled to be obscene.

Qantas was named the safest airline in the world for the 4th straight year.

If you are looking to travel to Seattle, you should check out this must-see place to visit that was detailed in a post by Points with a Crew.  I’ve also visited Chihuly Garden and Glass and it is quite a sight!

Southwest named a bunch of new destinations/flights and is offering some of the fares for $49!

One Mile at a Time wrote about the sad actions taken by a flight attendant on Allegiant, where two daughters were kicked off a flight on a way to say goodbye to their dying father.

Thanks, everybody for your readership this week!  We look forward to another week of travel news and info ahead!
