Earn 1,000 AAdvantage Miles When You Spend $1 on Shopping Offer

AAdvantage shopping currently has a promotion where you earn 1,000 AAdvantage miles when you purchase a two-month subscription of the Wall Street Journal for $1.  The promotion runs until October 15, 2018.

Fine print: Be aware that the terms and conditions of the offer require that you keep the subscription for the Wall Street Journal active for at least 45 days.  If you don’t meet that requirement, you likely won’t get the bonus miles.  It’s also important to remember to cancel the subscription (assuming you don’t want to keep it) before the end of the trial period when your account will automatically enroll in monthly subscription and your card will be charged.

Overall, this is a pretty easy way to earn 1,000 AA miles.  It’s also a no-brainer from an earnings perspective.  You’ll be paying .1 cents per mile, which is a great rate.  If you decide to keep the WSJ or forget to cancel it, the monthly price is $32.99 + tax.

So basically, just spend $1, get a two-month subscription to WSJ, and set a reminder to make sure you cancel the trial subscription past the 45 day mark and earn 1,000 AAdvantage miles.
