Qantas has recently sent out an email advertising a limited-time offer where Qantas is offering 50% more Qantas Points on eligible flights with a QF flight number. The process is simple, simply register and make a new booking between February 3, 2016 and February 9, 2017 and travel between February 3, 2017 and June 3, 2017 to earn the additional 50% points.

In other words, you must register and fly on a Qantas marketed flight and one which would ordinarily earn you Qantas Points for flying. Recently, American and Qantas ceased codeshare flights between their LAX and SYD route, this new promotion may help those from down under earn additional points while traveling on the flying Roo.
