Want to visit Australia but you just don’t have a valid United States passport? Don’t worry, Qantas has the solution. If you book a flight departing from the United States to Australia you may qualify to have a discount of $135 applied to your reservation.  Discount will apply for each passenger on eligible fares purchased between October 19 2017 and November 28 2017.

The $135 discount is calculated based on the combined total of the application fee ($110) and execution fee ($25) of an adult first-time applicant for a passport book in the United States. To be eligible for this offer, booking must be made at Qantas Passport Redeem. by entering the code ‘PASSPORT’.

Granted, if you want to fly to Australia the least of your worries will be affording the passport itself. The cost of a US passport is ~1/10th of the average cost of a flight to Australia. But, who doesn’t like discounts? Especially ones that are over $100. While I am visiting Australia next month (again) and I did renew my passport last month, I do not qualify for this offer. Bummer.
