British Airways baggage handlers urinating in plane holds
If you thought the woman bringing raw animal brains into the United States was weird, get ready for this sick (literally) story. According to The Sun, British Airways baggage handlers were asked to stop urinating inside the plane holds. It looks like British Airways baggage handlers are too lazy to walk back to the bathroom facilities to relieve themselves and instead, they have been urinating inside the plane holds of British Airways’ Boing 747 planes.
British Airways engineers warned the baggage handlers that urine is “highly corrosive” and engineers have discovered several areas of flaking metalwork on the inside of planes, possibly due to excessive urination.
A British Airways source told The Sun that “no plane was in any danger and staff have been told to stop and use the proper [bathroom] facilities.” However, a British Airways spokesperson denied these events.
Either way, whether it is true or not, the thought of your luggage being placed on top of urine for several hours is extremely disgusting and bothersome. If this story is true, I hope the employees stop and decide to hike to the bathroom facilities.
