Citi / AAdvantage Reduced Mileage Awards
American Airlines (and Citi) are one of the few airlines/credit cards that offer discounted mileage award flights for credit card holders. For example, most domestic flights cost 25,000 miles in coach, however, if you have the Citi Platinum Select AAdvantage credit card you can redeem an award flight for 7,500 less miles roundtrip or 3,750 less miles one-way.
Therefore instead of paying 25,000 miles for domestic roundtrip coach flight you will only pay 17,500. For one-way flights in coach it will cost 8,750 miles instead of 12,500 miles. Keep in mind that not every city is offered at one given time, they vary month-to-month and a list of cities for the next four months can be found HERE.

- Choose your destination in your preferred month of travel from our list.

Another benefit that the card offers is that you get 10% of the miles you redeem back (up to 10,000 miles per calendar year), allowing you to save even MORE miles on your trip, something most credit cards do not offer. I personally use this card for every day expenses and bills to get the extra miles.
