Friday Fun Fact [1/9/15]

Qantas_767_after_take_offAccording to Discovery.com

“The Boeing 767 sucks in enough air during take-off in both of its engines to fill the Goodyear Blimp in 7 seconds.”

Sadly enough, Qantas, the worlds safest airline, has retired its last Boeing B767 after the aircraft had 29 years in service!

The last B767 to fly has carried almost 168 million passengers on more than 927,000 flights. If you combine the miles flown on all of Qantas’ B767 aircraft, they have flown 1,118,468,146 miles which is equivalent to about 2438 return trips to the moon!

Qantas last flight operated by a B767 was named “QF 767.”
