Frontier Airlines plane strikes jetbridge at Cleveland Airport

Frontier Airlines plane strikes passenger walkway at Cleveland AirportA Frontier Airlines plane approaching the terminal at Cleveland Hopkins International Airport (CLE) struck the bridge that passengers use to board and exit the aircraft. According to airport officials no injuries have been reported.

A spokeswoman for CLE says the incident occurred around 1 a.m. Thursday as the flight arriving from Denver approached the terminal. After the incident passengers on the A319 Airbus disembarked using a stairway at the back of the plane.

Although the spokeswoman could not confirm the exact number of passengers, she said an A319 aircraft can carry up to 124 passengers onboard.

She says the plane had slight visible damage, but it is still unknown as to how much damage the jet bridge sustained.
