A few months ago I asked readers to share their thoughts on Apple Pay via a poll. The poll results showed that it was a popular feature. I personally don’t like it but my opinion on the matter is irrelevant.

Starting this month, JetBlue will become the first U.S. airline to accept Apple Pay as a payment method on board.

Customers can pay for food options, premium beverages, onboard amenities and much more with their Apple Pay enabled devices. All crew members will be given an iPad mini to be able to complete the transaction.

JetBlue also says that customers will be able to use Apple Pay to complete purchases on the JetBlue app starting later this year.

All JetBlue flights will be equipped to accept Apple Pay by June 2015.
