Have you heard of muchopoints? It’s a new website, currently in BETA testing, that allows you to see how many hotel points you will earn if you were to stay at a specific hotel.
muchopoints uses an algorithm that they call ‘muchoscore’. muchoscore calculates and filters the hotels that will provide customers the most points, considering the points gain per week and the points needed to be redeemed per night on an specific hotel. muchoscore helps customers to make the best choice to maximize their points when booking hotels on their weekly trips.
The algorithm is also used when end users try to redeem their points in order to maximize nights when booking hotels.
The best part of it all is that muchopoints lets you keep 100% of the points you earn. Once you find the hotel you want to book, muchopoints redirects you to the hotels website so you can book the hotel and earn full points. Remember that websites like Kayak, Priceline, Expedia, Hotels.com, and the like do not earn hotel points.
muchopoints plans to offer end users with the option to manage all their hotel programs through their muchopoins.com. With one single log on, users will be able to track all their points and elite statuses for supported hotel programs.

Of course, this website benefits mostly those who travel frequently for business, but if you only travel a few times a year this could be even more beneficial to you because that means you can get more hotel points than you may have already given that you stay at hotels less.
You can easily create an account with just a few clicks, then add some info about your hotel loyalty preference, elite status, credit cards you own (but no personal CC info), and then muchoscore will optimize your points calculation with the personalized information that you have provided.

It won’t allow you to tweak the value of points from each program. That’s is a deal breaker

In its current beta version, muchopoints already includes chain-specific bonuses (for example, SPG’s Green Choice or HHonor’s MyWay), which you can see if you click on the “xxxx Points” link below the blue muchoscore bar for each hotel. In the near future, we’ll also include quarterly promotions to ensure you get the maximium number of points in each hotel program!
