And the worst domestic flight with an on the tarmac delay that when over three hours was Republic Airlines flight on 8/12/2014. That was flight 3497 from Washington Reagan to Columbus, Ohio, which was delayed on the tarmac for 183 minutes.
It is sort of surprising for me to see Delta perform 10% better than American. Last year, I solely flew on Delta and had a horrible time with on-time departures. It seemed like every flight that I would take with them had some sort of delay involved. On the other hand, after 10 months flying only American, I’ve had a great experience with being on-time. In fact, there have even been a number of times when I have been 15-30 minutes early on American Airlines.
