Southwest Airlines unveils new livery (VIDEO)
Southwest Airlines today unveiled a new livery for its planes.
The belly of the Boeing B737 is now blue instead of Southwest’s signature red belly, and the tail features strips of blue, red and yellow paint instead of the former blue, red and orange. The Southwest name is on the fuselage instead of the tail and it features new lettering and a new color, white. There is also a new heart logo on the belly of the plane.
Some have criticized the new livery by calling it childish or Walmart-like. I personally think it looks more modern than the current livery on the planes.
NOTICE: Other bloggers on BoardingArea/Prior2Boarding have posted about this already. However, some of my readers (personal friends) do not necessarily go to those networks to get their travel stories. Therefore, I am sharing it on my blog as well. Check out The Jetsetter’s Homestead’s article regarding the new livery.
