Trump Takes Credit For Commercial Airline Safety in 2017
As we reported earlier today, commercial aviation had it’s greatest year ever recorded for safety, with no commercial jet fatality throughout the entire year. Well, as View from the Wing discusses, Trump takes credit for commercial airline safety in 2017.
In a tweet this morning, the President said he was very tough on commercial aviation standards, and then mentions the fact that last year was the safest on record for commercial airline safety.
Since taking office I have been very strict on Commercial Aviation. Good news – it was just reported that there were Zero deaths in 2017, the best and safest year on record!

The President is known to take a credit for a lot. It will be interesting to see how the White House responds to this claim by demonstrating what specific policies the President and the Administration pursued in order to improve commercial safety. This may be another tweet where the response will be “The tweet speaks for itself.” We shall see.
Man… bringing back Merry Christmas… stopping air travel deaths… and I recently heard that no one was killed by a meteorite in 2017, either. How does he EVER find time to golf and insult Puerto Ricans?
Color me impressed.
