United Airlines Flight Slides off Runway During Landing

Rick Husband International Airport in Amarillo, Texas has reopened after a United Airlines flight slid off the runway early Monday morning, around 1am.

According to a local media report, the FAA said around 3am they were sending investigators to the sight of the incident in order to investigate.  It is unclear how many people were on the flight, but the airport has said that all passengers onboard the aircraft were taken from the plane to the terminal and that all were safe.

The city of Amarillo is expected to make a statement on the incident Monday afternoon.
