United matches American’s 12,000 mileage bonus. Sort of.
United Airlines has sent out an email announcing a very limited time promotion on earning up to 12,000 bonus MileagePlus miles depending on the fare you purchase at booking and your elite status level when you fly the qualifying segment.
Unlike American, who announced they will be giving First and Business class flyers up t0 12,000 through December 31, 2015, United’s offer ends on February 28, 2015. The bonus is based on qualifying flight segments.
Travel must begin on or after January 9, 2015, and be completed on or before February 28, 2015, to qualify for this offer. March 1st is when United Airlines begins going revenue based.
The bonus miles will automatically post to your MileagePlus account 2-4 weeks after completing the qualifying flight.
The offer is valid on flights operated by United or United Express, or United-marketed flights with a UA flight number and operated by Air Canada, All Nippon Airways, Austrian Airlines, Brussels Airlines, Copa Airlines, Lufthansa or Swiss International Airlines. See full terms and conditions for additional restrictions with respect to flights operated by Copa.
