AA67 From Barcelona Evacuated At JFK After Bomb Threat
American Airlines flight 67, form Barcelona, Spain, was sent to a secluded area of JFK airport after a bomb threat was called in to law enforcement. Law enforcement officials did not believe the threat was credible, but took protective measures based on the threat.
The aircraft landed at a remote hangar at JFK just after noon, according to law enforcement officials.

According to the New York Times:
The Port Authority of New York and New Jersey, which operates the airport, said the flight, American Airlines Flight 67, had originated in Barcelona. About 12:50 p.m., an agency spokesman, Joseph Pentangelo, said that passengers and crew members were being evacuated.
The authorities had begun “sweeping” the aircraft to evaluate the threat, Mr. Pentangelo said, adding that it had been “telephoned in.”
The city’s Fire Department also sent teams to respond to the episode.
Two passengers, Teresa Dietrich, 37, and her husband, Jacob Rosenberg, had arrived in New York after a week in Spain ahead of schedule. The plane landed early, she said, but instead of heading for a gate, it taxied away from the terminal and stopped without explanation. Soon, the passengers could see small groups of emergency vehicles rolling up to the plane through the windows, she said, causing murmurs of confusion and worry.
Finally, a member of the flight’s crew announced on the intercom that there had been a bomb threat against American Airlines, and “this was just a precaution,” Ms. Dietrich recalled. But other flights could be seen taking off and landing as usual.
Officials have said that all 200 passengers and crew were successfully evacuated from the plane.
