Lightning strikes American Airlines passenger
US Airways Express Flight 5137, operated by a CRJ-900 aircraft, bound for Charlotte (CLT) airport from Hartford (BDL) airport was forced to divert to Columbia (CAE) airport in South Carolina due to severe weather.
During the deboarding process, a female passenger was struck by lightning. According to the Columbia Metropolitan Airport, the passenger is in stable condition.

Wow, that is very surprising that they would allow anyone to deplane during a thunderstorm.
