T-Pain Chuckles “Like a Lil Girl” at Delta Response on Twitter
Social media has become a primary way for flyers, famous and otherwise, to let their satisfaction and dissatisfaction to be known to the airlines, including a former presidential candidate joking about being sucked out of a Southwest window days after a woman was killed by being sucked out of the window. Airlines have also had epic Twitter battles amongst themselves. Well, T-Pain got quite a laugh when he jokingly complained to Delta Air Lines, where he is a frequent flyer, about hearing the same song every time he boards a Delta flight.
The rapper, whose real name is Faheem Rasheed Najm, tweeted, “@Delta we gotta change these boarding/taxiing songs more often guys. All of Us Million milers (quick brag) have to hear these same joints multiple times a day. I gotta go perform in the staples center in a minute and Adele just put me in the weirdest mood. Now I’m crying. Thanx.”

The airline, which seemed to view this as an opportunity to have some tweeting fun with the star, replied, “Our boarding/taxing songs are intended to provide a relaxing experience. Can you imagine what would ensue if we played “buy u a drank” (a personal fave), with everyone snappin’ their fingers and what not? We’d never get anywhere on time. Necessary sacrifices, Mr. Pain. *HBN

The wrapper later told a crown at a concert that he laughed “Like a lil girl” at the airline’s response. I found it altogether nice that Delta took the chance to have some fun and joke around with the star. It seems that some airlines, including American Airlines, can seem to only send robotic-like responses to people. It’s nice to see proof that there are still some real people behind the Twitter handles of airlines.
