US Airways flight makes emergency landing without nose gear (VIDEO)
I just saw this Fox News alert about a US Airways flight:
A US Airways flight 1825 from Philadelphia (PHL) carrying 52 passengers and four crew members was forced to make an emergency landing at Houston’s George Bush (IAH) when the aircraft nose landing gear failed to deploy.
The incident took place late Monday night.
The pilot to land the plane touching down nose-first before the aircraft came to a complete stop. Once the plane came to a stop, passengers evacuated the aircraft via an emergency.
The flight was operated by an Embraer 190. One passenger was transported to the hospital with non-serious injuries.
Authorities say an investigation is underway to determine the cause of the failed nose landing gear.
@USAirways just got this text from my dad on how he landed in Houston tonight. I’d like to know what happened pic.twitter.com/3YfFyImdGt
